La Shield

Campaign: Film + OOH  |  Role: Art Director

The Brand

La Shield is a dermatologically-tested sunscreen brand trusted in clinical skincare. Now entering the mainstream skincare category, the brand wanted to reposition itself—not just as a prescription sunscreen, but as an essential part of everyday skin health. The task was clear: Make UV damage visible, urgent, and real.

Our Creative Solve
Most people still skip sunscreen, because the damage it prevents isn’t immediately visible. But the sun never forgets. We built the campaign around that truth -  “The damage you don’t see.” We used a UV light camera to reveal what the naked eye misses—sun spots, pigmentation, and deep skin damage caused by years of unprotected exposure. Real women saw their hidden skin damage for the first time—and their raw, emotional reactions became the heart of our film. The moment of shock was our storytelling hook—one that no diagram or product explainer could ever match.

The Work
Shot in an ad documentary style, the film lets women confront their invisible damage—then hear from a dermatologist on how La Shield can help prevent further harm. We extended the message into OOH through portraits that paired natural faces with UV-lit imagery—creating high-contrast visuals that mimicked the very damage sunscreen is meant to protect against.

Simple. Stark. Unmissable.

The Process
We started with consumer research and UV camera tests to explore real impact. The direction was deliberately minimal—to keep the focus on truth and emotion. From scripting to storyboarding, shoot to post, every frame leaned into authenticity.
